Hayley McKay is a 2nd year PCT at Palmerston North Intermediate Normal School.

In 2021, along with several other teachers from her school, she participated in Cooperative Learning PLD.

Kagan turned out to be what Haley was looking for. She speaks of how much it has helped her classroom management, along with the difference it has made to her classroom culture, and her writing programme.

Young or new teachers benefit from the strong management side of Kagan. When you have students moving and interacting, it’s crucial there is an effective stop/quiet signal along with clear guidelines around required social skills and acceptable behaviour.
